Denton Wilde Sapte is committed to career
development and offers a range of training as a way of ensuring
that staff have the necessary technical, management and leadership
skills to meet the firm's current and future needs.
Our career framework for fee earners helps
us identify, distinguish and reward talent. It enables us to
move away from the PQE framework, be clearer about what we expect
of individuals at each stage of their career and allows individuals
to progress at different rates.
The framework is a natural progression from
what we had previously. In today's PQE terms and assuming
progression at the traditional rate, the career ladder looks like
this.

Legal training is essential to remain at the
forefront of legal developments and the provision of advice that we
give to our clients. Our Legal Training team organises weekly
training sessions in each department, monthly firm-wide training
sessions as well as various other regular training events that
involve both clients and our "good friends" network.
Business skills are also an area of
importance and we have a team dedicated to Personal Development and
Skills training. We offer courses such as negotiation skills,
presentation skills, interviewing skills, time management etc.
Formal appraisals take place annually at all
levels of the firm.
