Nellie has been practising as a Russian lawyer for 15 years, primarily on international transactions including a broad range of cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and commercial contracts, as well as capital markets, derivatives, project and trade finance. In recent years she has substantially diversified her practice and has dealt with a wide variety of real estate transactions. She also has substantial intellectual property and telecommunications industry experience. She is the author of various articles in trade magazines and other publications on banking, employment, insolvency, intellectual property and other issues and contributes regularly to Western and Russian business publications such as Eastern European Forum Newsletter, BNA's Eastern Europe Reporter and the Moscow Times.

Nellie is a graduate of Moscow State University, where she holds a degree in law (with distinction) and a doctorate degree in international law. She has also obtained the Diploma in Law (a degree in English law) from the BPP Law School in London.

In addition, Nellie is a member of the Moscow City Bar and sits on the editorial board of Kollegia, the first Russian professional journal for practising lawyers.
