Andrew Ward was appointed in 2007 as the Managing Partner of the firm's Abu Dhabi office.  He received a first class honours degree in law from Oxford University in 1983 and qualified as a solicitor in 1986.  Since his qualification he has specialised in corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and public and private share issues.  He has also advised many UK and Middle East government and regulatory authorities in relation to legislative and regulatory projects in a variety of sectors.  Andrew worked in Abu Dhabi from 1996 to 2002, advising a number of UAE and Abu Dhabi government bodies and companies, as well as international investors, on a wide variety of projects and transactions before returning to Abu Dhabi in 2007.  From 1994 to 1995 Andrew was Director of Legislation and Licensing at Ofgas, the UK gas regulator.
