Companies Act 2006: directors - the new conflict of interest rules - act now!
On 1 October 2008 the Companies Act 2006 sections on directors' conflicts of interest will come into force. These include a new procedure under which the uninterested directors may sanction a director's conflict of interest. A company should consider taking action before 1 October if it wants to give its board the authority to do this. In the attached bulletin we look at the key issues for companies, public and private, and their directors.
