The following terms apply to your use of:

  • any precedent, proforma, guidance note or other knowhow (together Knowhow) provided for your use by Denton Wilde Sapte LLP.

7. Each limit or disclaimer of liability in these Terms limits or disclaims liability in contract, for negligence or arising on any other basis (except for liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation).

8. If a court holds any of these Terms to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable, the rest of these Terms shall remain in full force.

9. These Terms are governed by English law.

 

Privacy policy

The privacy of your personal data is important to Denton Wilde Sapte. We have set out below what we do and what we do not do with the information we collect using the Website. By using the Website you agree that we may use your personal information in the following ways:

1. The Website creates a cookie (a small piece of computer code) which is sent to and stored on the user's computer containing a unique session identifier only. This identifier is used to record site usage statistics. You can choose to turn off cookie functionality in your web browser. In a separate automatic operation the web server will collect the user's IP address and details of the website where the user came from before entering the Denton Wilde Sapte website. We use this information to:
i. work out how many times the Website has been visited; and
ii. record which parts of the Website have been visited so we can improve the content and layout of the Website.

The above applies to all visitors to the Website whether or not they have registered. The information collected is not linked to you as an individual unless you choose to register.

2. We collect and store your personal data so we can send you details (including by post, phone and email) of events and other marketing information. We may also contact you to improve our products and services. We will not disclose your data to third parties for use by them other than to persons who process the information on our behalf confidentially. We are an international law firm and your data might be passed on to our international offices, some of which are in countries outside the European Economic Area, which might not have the same data protection laws as those in force in the European Economic Area. However, those offices will ensure the information is kept confidential.

If you tell us you wish to attend an event, your name and organisation may appear on a list which we provide to other delegates at the event. We ask delegates not to use these lists other than for information purposes.

3. Website personalisation - when you register with the Website, we may use the personal data you enter in the registration sections to identify and contact you with targeted materials about Denton Wilde Sapte and general legal matters. Except as set out above, we will not disclose the personal data you provide to any third parties for any other reason.

Denton Wilde Sapte makes various RSS feeds available. These RSS feeds contain content from the Website, Publications and Knowhow. You may use Denton Wilde Sapte RSS feeds for your own internal business purposes and/or personal use (including using Denton Wilde Sapte RSS feeds on intranet and portal sites that are not available to the general public). You may only use Denton Wilde Sapte RSS feeds on websites that are available to the general public and/or for any other commercial exploitation with Denton Wilde Sapte's express written permission. Any use of Denton Wilde Sapte RSS feeds (whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes) is subject to the rest of these Terms, and the following conditions:
