Mark is Head of the firm's Restructuring and Insolvency Group.
He has, over the last 33 years, dealt with innumerable high profile
and large scale corporate restructurings and insolvencies. He
handles the widest possible range of insolvency-related problems,
including acting for insolvency office-holders and banks, as well
as advising directors and creditors of troubled companies. Mark has
current roles in several household name insolvencies.
Industry commentators consistently rank Mark as one of the
leading specialists in the UK, with international surveys regularly
numbering him among the best-regarded restructuring lawyers in the
world. The 8th edition of the Guide to the World's Leading
Insolvency & Restructuring Lawyers rates Mark as a "leading
practitioner". The Chambers and Partners Guide 2008 describes Mark
as "tremendous" and a "real icon" with the 2009 edition calling him
“a punchy and effective advocate and a great person to have on
your side in a difficult scenario” with “relentless
enthusiasm and infinite knowledge of the area.”
Mark sits on many specialist committees. He is a well-known
lecturer on all aspects of reconstruction and insolvency law.
