Sense finally prevails in Raguz – resolution at last for landlords and former tenants

The House of Lords' decision on 29 October 2008 in Scottish & Newcastle plc v. Raguz removes "ridiculous" and "silly" bureaucratic burdens for both landlords and former tenants.  It will no longer be necessary for landlords to serve notices just to keep alive their right to recover an as yet unreviewed rent or unbalanced service charge.
