& export finance, acting for banks, development banks, export
credit agencies, traders, exporters and other market players.
Our international team of over 20 lawyers has extensive experience
and knowledge on structured trade and commodity finance
transactions particularly in the emerging markets in Africa, Asia,
Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, the CIS and the Middle
East. We also have the capability to advise on local law in each of
the jurisdictions we operate in.
Our market leading position has been reinforced through a number of
recent awards, including:

Finance deals 2008 - Trade Finance Review Magazine (10th

With a depth of commercial knowledge, we are well equipped to
deal with issues arising from changes in the markets, such as
privatisation, the onset of competition, the opening up of hitherto
closed jurisdictions and increasing securitisation of trade finance
receivables.
We have negotiated and documented structures ranging from
pre-export financings through advance payment facilities to special
purpose vehicle structures. Recent deals include financings for
oil, all types of soft and hard commodities, mining and
agricultural businesses, as well as other receivables including
those derived from telecoms, energy and airline operations.
We also cover Islamic financing structures, the use of derivatives
and the regulatory impact of structures under Basel II.
